Some months ago, I corresponded with MUBI and expressed my desire for an iPad app. I'm pleased to know you're developing it. Will it include AirPlay so we can watch your films on a bigger screen?
Also, I had asked if MUBI would be available on the Roku set top box. At the time, you sniffed at the idea that Roku was even worth your time . . . but with millions of these boxes now installed, it seems to me to be a terrific link for you in terms of reaching an even wider audience, additional revenue for you, and a way for us to easily see MUBI films on a big juicy HDTV set.

Dear Skip Ferderber,
We are currently in the process of designing the app and will start developing late Fall. By this time we will be able to announce more details.
All the best,
Pawel

The last response to my question was five--count 'em, five--months ago. For people paying you $144 a year and have done so for a couple of years, and to receive little better than a form-letter response, I think that's a poor way to run your customer service.
What could possibly be taking you so long in formulating some kind of technological answer that will allow people to view your subscription service on a more accessible platform? What are the technological or financial hurdles you are facing? -

Dear Skip Ferderber,
Apologies for delay in replying and I am sorry that you feel that way. Currently our developers have been very busy with launching MUBI on Sony BRAVIA connected devices across many territories in the world and this process is still ongoing.
Meanwhile our iPad application has been fully designed but we are yet to start work on coding and building it. One of the challenges is the switch from Flash player to html5 compatibility. We are not able to provide a time frame for this but we want the iPad app to be available as soon as possible and as eagerly as our community.
I hope that sheds some light on the issue. Thank you for your patience and do let us know if you have any further questions or concerns.
All the best,
Pawel

Regarding your availability on Sony Bravia devices, I have a Sony Internet BluRay player, yet MUBI is not listed as one of the available services in the U.S. What's up with that?

Dear Dan Conley,
MUBI is available:
- online in 177 countries as a website
- via set top box Boxee across the world
- via PlayStation 3 in the United Kingdom, Ireland, France, Italy, Spain, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Portugal, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Australia and New Zealand.
- via Sony BRAVIA connected devices (not only internet-enabled TVs but also Blu ray players and net box) across 58 countries in Europe plus Australia and New Zealand with more territories to be launched in 2012
I'm afraid this will not include US. You may however access our service online or through Boxee box, if you prefer to enjoy watching films on your TV.
Please let us know if you have any further questions or concerns.
All the best,
Pawel

IS there any update on the availability of MUBI on non-computer platforms (e.g., the iPad, Roku, etc.) other than Boxee and the Sony Bravia?
