Keep getting 'Do not honor"
Hi, I'm trying to register (got here by the bravia offer) to check out your service, and I krrp getting the 'DO NOT HONOR' message when I enter my card information. It's a visa and I'm from Poland (bank: Mbank). Card works fine on steam, paypal, playstation store, android market, appstore and everything else. How can I give you my money?:)

Nie jestem pewien jakiego typu kartę używasz? Obecnie akceptujemy jedynie karty kredytowe, chociaż czasami jest się zdarza (w zależności od banku i kraju) że nasz system jest w stanie przyjąć zapłatę z karty debetowej.
Służę pomocą jeżeli pojawią się jeszcze jakiekolwiek wątpliwości.

I have exactly same problem. I am using a debit card VISA (used only for electronic transaction). My bank is mBank Czech Republic, my account has enough cash, the card expires in two years and I can pay with it in other websites.So everything should be okay.
Do I understand you, Pavel, correctly that you don't support debit cards but only credit cards? (Sorry, I don't speak Polish.)
Thanks for this website. It's a wonderful idea! There is so many movies I'd like to see but they are only screened at festivals on the other side of planets :).

Yes—as of now our system accepts only credit cards. Debit cards are not supported I'm afraid.

For sure my card is a credit Visa-type one. It was issued by Nordea Bank Polska SA.
Are there any limitation on credit cards You accept?

Dear Roman,
our system accepts Visa, Mastercard, and (in North America only) AmericanExpress.
Sometimes even cards being from VISA, can be handled as debit cards by your bank.
So please contact your bank and check with them as what your card is registered.
If it is a real credit card and your problem persists, please tell me and we'll dig a bit deeper to solve this problem.

For certain my card is a credit one. A bank employee found out that transactions submitted by MUBI had accompany no charge.
Could it be a failure in Your payment engine?

Will the issue be resolved? I cannot use my Visa card in Mubi. The card is accepted everywhere else so its definitely not the card's fault.

Ultimately MUBI Support Team blamed my card issuer for the failure. I have given my subscription up.

please get in contact with us directly via support@mubi.com so we can check what is wrong with your card or with our system.
But as romr said, also it is a VISA card, if your card issuer isn't handling it like a credit card we can not make it work either, but I hope we'll find a solution.
