browse films by genre or country

I added an idea, and just realised you have the same. Voting for yours since it already has a few! heres hoping it'll launch soon! :)

I think this site is an incredible archive but it is essential to have the option to search by genre. It makes all the difference! I have no interest in searching through thousands of films to find all the horror movies I need to see and yet I trust that they are all here. It's hard to believe that this wasn't something considered at the origins.

I think 'browse films by genre' is too complicated.. I guess 'browse film by country' mean each country page link at product country text. esp, many MUBIan made list for each country. here's country example : http://www.last.fm/tag/finnish?ac=fin... but, especailly, African film can't help it if we have with no consider for this film! multi-countries product things too. do we need tag on MUBI? maybe?

Recently I was able to sort by genre but now it seems this option is removed. In my view this removal is a real drawback to usability. I was quite content to browse by genre but now I have to browse everything and it is really tiresome. Please bring back explore by genre. Thanks.

The Genre search is still available. It is located on the left side of the filter box on the "Films" page. Please have a look at this screenshot :

Thanks Quentin. I have found the link for 'genre'. I was on the 'Explore' page (http://mubi.com/films) and it seems the 'genre' option is not available there. That was the problem!
