Another way to add films to database?
Is there another way to 'add films to database' other than just posting an entry to the montly post dedicated to it? If not, you should totally implement a better way to add them. Kudos for the new community!

in Goodreads (the social network for books), there's a system where you can add books to the website's main database as a Goodreads Librarian--a status gained after you add 100 books (forgive me if I'm wrong with the number) to your own shelf. As Goodreads Librarian, you can also edit the information, combine different version books, and in some cases--delete books.
Maybe Mubi can develop something like this?
Just my two cents, though.

i'm searching for movies that apparently are not in the database, It's really frustrating that I can't add them in any other way.

Currently our thread in the forum is the best way to add films to the MUBI database. We'll take into consideration another way to add titles, thanks!

I searched for a movie and it wasn't listed on Mubi. Can users add information about a film too?
This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled
Can users add information about a movie?. -

Check out Listal. You can add movies to the database via IMDB link.

I used the submission form to send some movies that I didn't found on MUBI couple days ago, following all the rules, and it didn't appear on database yet. I was wondering how many time it usually takes to appear on database after send the form.

I've submitted a few films this way, here's how I understand it: those films submitted now (in June) won't start getting processed until the month ends and a new submission thread is started.
Not every film is added, because a submission can only be added if it is done correctly with enough information. Many submissions don't have an image that is usable.
Even if a film is added, the time it usually takes is unknown. Many films I have added will show up very soon after the new month begins (so like the first week of July if I added one now) but some of my submissions took much longer, maybe three months.
So my answer would be that if you submit everything perfectly and have edited the photo to the perfect size, it will probably be added but the wait time is 1-3 months when your film is added. I think it is fast anyway, because there are so many submissions (40 pages of them each month!) -
